David Horowitz, a conservative commentator, creator and activist, died on Tuesday on the age of 86, in keeping with the David Horowitz Freedom Heart, the conservative assume tank he based.
Horowitz died after a lengthy battle with cancer, the middle wrote on X.
“On behalf of the David Horowitz Freedom Heart, we’re very saddened to announce the passing of the Heart’s founder, David Horowitz,” the middle mentioned.

His son, Benjamin Horowitz, a co-founder of the enterprise capitalist agency Andreessen Horowitz, shared an obituary on social media highlighting his profession in media and activism, together with a number of books he wrote and his endorsement of President Donald Trump.
When the youthful Horowitz met Trump final 12 months, he informed the president about his father.
“President Trump’s face instantly lit up and he insisted that Benjamin get David on the cellphone instantly,” the obituary reads. “Hospitalized and weak, David was nonetheless delighted to talk with the President.”

A former Marxist, the conservative commentator was born in Queens. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College and a Grasp’s from the College of California, Berkeley.
David Horowitz is survived by his spouse April Mullvain, sons Benjamin and Jonathan and daughter Anne. His different daughter, Sarah Rose, died in 2008. Mullvain is his fourth spouse.

“Ultimately, David helped numerous individuals and expended each fiber of his being pushing society in direction of freedom,” the obituary reads. “He might not have saved the world, however he most definitely made it a greater place – particularly for us.
